Dave Preese, Vice President of Product Management
Mr. Dave Preece is the Vice President of Product Management for SRS, Inc. Mr. Preece
has been designing and building software for 15 years. His software design and development
portfolio began with initiatives in the banking and appraisal industry. Dave spent several
years developing and deploying Business Process Management software for organizations such
as Bank One, Prudential, United States Army and Navy, the Social Security Departments of
Australia and New Zealand, and many state and city governments throughout the United States,
that turned into a hundred million dollar a year business.
Early on in his career while attending Brigham Young University, Mr. Preece worked as a
sales representative for Gene Harvey Chevrolet. It was during this time that he got his
first impressions of the difficulties and complexities required to run a dealership. Since
that time he has developed a wide array of relationships with dealers, service managers,
service advisors, and technicians. Coupling the input he has received from these
relationships with the feedback received from numerous internal teams, Dave has been able
to coordinate software designs that are easy to use, and provide significant return on
investment for dealerships.
Patrick Thurman, Vice President of Information Technology
Patrick Thurman is the Vice President of Information Technology for SRS. Mr. Thurman is a
17 year technology veteran who has previous experience consulting for NASA, US Army and
Air Force military branches, Microsoft and Wells Fargo. Mr. Thurman is responsible for
managing a team of technology professionals who provide a wide-range of internal IT
services to SRS and its subsidiaries
Farrukh Majid, Vice President of Corporate Development
Farrukh Majid is the Vice President of Corporate Development for SRS. He joined SRS in early 2008 and is involved in strategic, development and corporate finance related projects. He brings a combination of financial, operating and entrepreneurial skills within the automotive, technology and financial industries. Prior to his current position, Mr. Majid worked with DealerTrack, Inc. in corporate development and in product management roles. He also founded a unique, scalable automobile retailing concept and raised venture financing. Mr. Majid’s financial industry experience includes technology-focused investment banking and equity research covering the retail sector. On the technology side, Mr. Majid was responsible for building business intelligence vendor, Brio Technology’s alliance with EDS around retail-sector supply-chain solutions. Mr. Majid began his career in supply-chain management at Federated Department Stores, Inc.
Mr. Majid holds a B.Sc.Eng in Mechanical Engineering and a M.Sc. in Biomedical Materials Engineering from the University of London and a MBA in Finance and Operations Management from Carnegie Mellon University.
Jennifer Robbins, Vice President of Human Resources
Jennifer Robbins is responsible for all aspects of Service Repair Solutions, Inc.’s people
strategy including, training, development, employee relations, compensation, benefits, and
retaining the SRS team. Ms. Robbins joined SRS following five years at HMSHost, where she
led corporate recruiting and development. Following her career with HMSHost, Jennifer
oversaw the On-Site Staffing Management for Citibank, N.A. while working with Kelly Services.
She has more than 15 years of experience managing various HR functions. Ms. Robbins holds a
Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from San Diego State University.
Valerie Marshall, Controller
Valerie Marshall is a seasoned accounting professional with a strong background in business
management in young, start-up companies. Since 2005, Ms. Marshall developed, implemented and
managed the entire accounting system for SRS and MPi, an SRS subsidiary. Her background
includes 10 years consulting experience with Arthur Andersen where she assisted their clients
with audits, controls, growth projections in multitude industries. Ms. Marshall holds a
undergraduate degree in management, accounting and human resources. In addition she holds an
MBA in international management.
Susan Lovett, Sr. Director of Marketing Communications
Susan Lovett has over 17 years experience as a marketing communications and business development
professional; with over 11 years focused in the management consulting and automotive industries.
Ms. Lovett managed a highly successful business development team for Deloitte Consulting LLP
focusing on public sector business engagements. In this role, she contributed to the development
and sales efforts of many high profile national RFP efforts, with strong emphasis in the State
of California. Following her career with Deloitte, Ms. Lovett provided marketing communication
efforts for an aftermarket start-up company, AUTOVIA. As the Marketing Director of MPi, Ms.
Lovett oversees all marketing, communications, public relations and tradeshow activities for
the company. She has been with MPi since 2004.
